Mason city leaders are paving the way for AI data center development in spite of significant local opposition.

Although there are no known AI data center developers currently pursuing a project in Mason, local officials seem to be intent on paving the way for future AI data center projects.


City of Mason Planning Commissioners approved an ordinance to allow data centers on December 9th; the decision now goes to the City Council.
